Important Product Information and Information for Use

Our suspension kits are designed with sporty and progressive characteristics. The approximate values we indicate for setting the vehicle lower relate to changes made on the same vehicle when it is new and in the standard design. It is necessary to properly measure setting the vehicle lower while taking certain factors into consideration such as exactly setting the measuring points (the wheel hub to the lower edge of the fender), wheels, tyres, how full the tank is, the condition of the shock absorbers, etc. Because there are a number of factors having an influence on the degree of setting the vehicle, we cannot assume any warranty for this.

VOGTLAND supplies suspension systems for a number of different vehicle models, some of which are very similar to one another. If you install and use VOGTLAND suspension systems not specially designed for your vehicle model, this could cause property damage and physical injury. This also applies to non-approved combinations of wheels and tyres. Our suspension sets are generally permitted for all combinations of wheels and tyres approved by the manufacturer. Therefore, please pay close attention to the information in our TÜV certificates, the general operating licenses or model lists. In case of doubt, please get in contact with your dealer or a qualified motor vehicle workshop. It is not allowed to modify these articles because this is dangerous. Any modification will automatically render any claims against VOGTLAND invalid immediately.

VOGTLAND products are manufactured and tested under constant quality assurance. In spite of this, any product can be damaged under certain circumstances. Please observe the following instructions to prevent damage. Please avoid excessive loading, comply with and do not exceed the axle loads specified by the manufacturer in all cases, avoid aggressive driving manoeuvres that place excessive load on the material (such as races, off-road trips, etc.) and adapt your speed to conditions in traffic-calmed zones (because they generally have less clearance).

Important Information for Installation (please observe before assembly)

It may be hazardous to install or disassemble chassis components because suspension systems are under pressure. Therefore, improper handling may cause injury to life and limb and property damage. Therefore, they may not be assembled by private persons, but only by qualified trained personnel at a motor vehicle workshop who have had the relevant assembly instructions by the motor vehicle manufacturer and the equipment, devices and special tools prescribed in these instructions. The motor vehicle has to be on a lifting platform every time it is installed or disassembled. Note: in the absence of other statements from the motor vehicle manufacturer, it is not permissible to assemble it using jacks. After completing installation, please ensure that all parts are installed again according to the assembly instructions and have been checked at least twice. Defective parts should always be replaced. Do not exceed the permissible axle loads specified in the certficate for VOGTLAND suspension components. Please also ensure that the spring and vehicle are properly allocated to one another. Because a number of chassis components are similar to one another, please match them with the attached component certficate before installing and using these products. In addition, please check the designations to ensure that you as the customer have received the product intended for your vehicle.

Please make the following checks and readjust if necessary after installation or disassembly:

    - that the combination of wheels and tyres moves smoothly
    - tread and axle adjustment
    - the brake and level equalisation systems and their regulating systems.
    - headlight adjustment
    - the shock absorber test (only if shock absorbers are used that are not new).
    - sufficient preliminary tension on the springs after installation.

Not observing these testing and regulating rules may result in system conditions being lost and therefore serious damage for which we cannot assume any liability.
